Two of the three Technologian graduates who made it to the topnotchers list in the Master Plumber Board Examination last August were recognized and given an audience with CIT President, Mr. Gregorio Escario on September 17, 2009.
Roy N. Serino (3rd place, 78.20%) and Celesteo Repunte (8th place, 76.60%) were formally invited by Vice-President for Academic Affairs Atty. Corazon Evangelista-Valencia and presented to Mr. Escario, where they were personally rewarded with gift checks. Adonis Olivar (9th place, 76.50%) was unable to make it due to prior commitments.
During the courtesy visit, Serino shared that this is his fourth time to make it to the topnotcher’s list in PRC board examinations. He also placed 10th in his First Electrical Engineer Board Exam; 1st place, Associate Electrical Engineer; and 2nd place, Professional Electrical Engineer.
For Serino, CIT has always been the choice for his Engineering education. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (1982) and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (2008) in CIT. Currently, he manages his own contracting company, RNS Power System.
Meanwhile, Repunte finished his BS in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2004. He presently works in the Visayan Electric Company (VECO) as a Planning and Designing Engineer.
