Professors Cherry Lyn Sta. Romana (Dean, College of Computer Studies) and Larmie Feliscuzo (Chair, IT Department) met the requirements for the highly selective training program.

“I am really grateful for the chance to join this program,” said Prof. Sta. Romana, “as it can truly benefit the whole IT community. It is also a rare opportunity for an academic institution to be given two representations in the same training”.

The program aims to enhance the participants’ abilities as Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) instructors in the implementation of the training programs related to the exam and development of ITEE courses in the participating countries, namely: Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. It also features the IT Skill Standards (ITSS) and the IT Career Skill Framework, a skill map which determines appropriate careers and skills of IT engineers according to their levels.

The AOTS Training Program for Instructors on ITSS/ ITEE is offered in the Philippines in cooperation with Philippine National IT Standards (PhilNITS) Foundation, Inc.

Cebu Institute of Technology College of Computer Studies is a PhilNITS academic partner and has been producing PhilNITS examination passers since 2007.
