Welcome to the Software/Multimedia Development and Training Center (SMDTC).

The Center is organized to meet the growing needs for conversion technologies of multimedia production from games, interactive presentations, broadcast presentations, interactive instructional materials, to introducing multimedia into education, be it in CD-ROM format or broadcast media.

As a training center, it continuously designs up-to-date, complete and professional training modules.

Background of SMDTC

Software/Multimedia Development and Training Center (SMDTC) used to be two offices: the Software Development and Training Center (SDTC) and; Multimedia Development and Training Center (MDTC).

Software Development

The Software Development and Training Center (SDTC) was initiated with a P1 million grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and seeks to be a bridge of information and computer technology skills in the economic development of Cebu and the surrounding areas. The Center is organized to meet the growing needs for advanced computer education in the region.

The Software Development and Training Center (SDTC) was envisioned to provide specialized training in information and computer technology skills to the local community and the industrial sector of Visayas and Mindanao through the use of updated and modern computer equipment and facilities.

Multimedia Development

The Multimedia Development and Training Center (MDTC) was established initially with a P6 million grant from the Department of Science And Technology (DOST) with an objective to develop and produce a pool of highly qualified personnel in multimedia technology.

SMDTC aims to provide top-quality computer hardware and software development training to artists and computer enthusiasts by means of special / non-degree courses.
