a. Freshmen Academic Scholarship (FAS)
Qualification:
* Must be an incoming first year college student who is among the Top Ten (10) graduates of any public or private high school
Requirements:
* Dry sealed Certification of Graduation Honors from the HS Principal indicating the honors received/overall ranking and the total number of graduates
* Comprehensive resume with 2 x 2 colored picture
Conditions:
(1) A scholarship applicant must attend the scholarship orientation that will be conducted by the Office of Admissions and Scholarships. He/She must sign the scholarship undertaking.
(2) Freshmen Academic Scholars with one year privilege must meet the following requirements in order to enjoy the same privilege in the succeeding semester:
§ Academic load of not less than 18 units in the first semester;
§ Average grade of at least 4.0 with no NC or failing mark in the first semester. In case the scholar’s average grade is below 4.0 with no NC or failing mark, his/her scholarship privilege in the next semester shall be downgraded to:
i. Full TD from Free-All
ii. 75% TD from Full TD
iii. 25% TD from 50% TD
iv. 10% TD from 25% TD, for CIT Pilot Section
(3) Furthermore, if a student fails to file a scholarship application form within the prescribed period, his/her scholarship shall be forfeited and cannot be enjoyed in the next semester. However, if he/she is qualified for a one-year scholarship but has failed to apply the same during the semester, the student may still avail of his/her scholarship privilege in the succeeding semester only, upon the submission and approval of his/her scholarship application form, subject to the policy on the minimum average grade requirement.
(4) Moreover, a freshman academic scholar enjoying a one-school-year scholarship privilege is required to attend at least 80% of the total number of meetings in one of the LEP classes, preferably English, Mathematics or Computer Programming classes, in the first semester. Failure to meet this requirement disqualifies him/her from enjoying his/her scholarship privilege in the second semester.
Requirements:

· Comprehensive resume’ with 2×2 colored picture
· Entrance Examination Result
· Confirmation Letter from the HS Principal attesting the graduation honors received by an applicant. This letter MUST be mailed to CIT. Hand carried Confirmation Letters are NOT accepted.
b. Special Academic Scholarship
Graduates of some identified high schools may be given special academic scholarships. Please contact the Office of Admissions and Scholarships for more information.
c. Upperclassmen Academic Scholarship
The OAS prepares and announces the names of students who will qualify for this scholarship at the start of every semester. The Registrar’s Office provides the OAS the report on the Grade Average of the students every semester.
Qualification:
· CIT students with at least one semester residence
· Must have an academic load of not less than 18 units in the previous semester (excluding ROTC/NSTP/bracketed subjects)
· Minimum grade of 4.2 for College Scholars, 4.5 for Presidential Scholars except in ROTC/NSTP and/or PE subjects.
· No NC or failing mark in the previous semester
d. High School Academic Scholarship
(1) HS Freshmen Academic Scholarship (HS-FAS)
Qualification: Must be among the Top Ten (10) graduates of any public or private elementary schools.
Privileges:
• Top 10 CIT Elementary Department graduates who will enroll in the CIT-HS Department are given Full Tuition Discount and Free Textbooks.
Requirement: Recommendation letter of the principal, duly approved by the
Office of the President

(2) Top Ten CIT – HS Students
Qualification: Honor HS students in different year level.
Requirement: Recommendation letter of the principal, duly approved by the Office of the President.

If the school fees are paid in full on or before the prescribed deadline in applying for discounts, the student is
entitled to a 5% discount.
b. Student Discount Plan (SDP)
Brothers and sisters enrolled concurrently are given discounts if applied for within the prescribed period.

c. Loyalty Discount (LD)
