Innovation Week Culmination

The Innovation Week culminated with its last two events namely the Kaizen Fest on December 5th and PitchPerfect on December 6th.

The Marketing Office, represented by Marketing Officer Ms. Charyl Rafols, won the Best Research Presentation and Best Blitz Kaizen Project for this year. Meanwhile, Team SPEEDIFI emerged as champion for the PitchPerfect event, which is an annual pitching competition that is participated by the best ideas from Technopreneurship classes this academic year. Out of over a hundred entries, five (5) wild ideas emerged at the top and competed for the finale. Representatives from MinebeaMitsumi Inc., EY Philippines, and Development and Acceleration Support for Innovation Growth (DASIG) acted as the panelists of the competition.

76th Founder’s Day

The CIT University also celebrated the 76th Founder’s Day in honor of our founder Dr. Nicolas G. Escario, Sr. The event started with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Msgr. Roberto F. Alesna.

One of the highlights of the Founder’s Day celebration is the Virtual Recognition of Chemical Technician and Nurse Licensure Exam Topnotchers. Ms. Ana Isabel Cuyos grabbed the Top 5 spot for the Chemical Technician Licensure Exam, while Ms. Lizalyn Joy Julio snatched the Top 4 spot in the Nurse Licensure Exam. As these students and alumna elevated us as the top university in Cebu, they were also awarded for their feats.

On the side of the Founder’s Day celebration were the different competitions facilitated by the different Colleges. The winners who emerged from these contests will be representing CIT University in the CESAFI for the same contest categories. The Teknoy contestants were seen and heard showcasing their talent, knowledge, skills, and creativity during the competitions, which also highlighted the overall theme “Gearing Up for Life”.
