ICYMI: As November Ends, December Begins

Here are the the highlight of activities and happenings in CIT University as the month of November ended and December started.

Library Month Culmination

As the month of November wraps up, so does the 32nd Library and Information Services Month. The culmination activity took place at the Learning Resource and Activity Center (LRAC) Collaboration Room attended by the library staff, teachers, and winners of the different contests facilitated by the LIS. The winners included different candidates from all year levels of CIT-U. The theme for this year’s Library Month is ‘Mga Aklatan Bilang Kanlungan ng Karunungan: Tagapangalaga ng Kultura at Pamanang Lokal (Libraries as Haven of Wisdom: Guardian of Culture and Local Heritage)’. With the goal to raise public awareness of the invaluable service of libraries and information centers, the culmination was a celebration of a mission accomplished.

Formal Opening of Innovation Week

The 2022 Innovation Week Celebration of the top university in Cebu was officially opened on December 1, 2022 in a ceremony done online. The weeklong event will run from December 1 to 6, 2022, and is facilitated by CIT University’s different offices collectively tagged as the Innovation Group. These offices include:

  • Research and Development Coordinating Office (RDCO);
  • Innovation & Technology Support Office (ITSO)
  • Knowledge & Technology Transfer Office (KTTO)
  • Central Visayas Food Innovation Center (CVFIC)
  • Wildcat Innovation Labs (WIL)
  • Makerspace
  • Center for e-Learning and Technology Education (CREATE)

CIT University’s CNAHS Tops Again!

The whole CIT University celebrated with Ms. Lizalyn Joy A. Julio, who snatched the TOP 4 spot in the November 2022 Nurse Licensure Examination. The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences also have 100% passing rate for first takers. Congratulations!

Ernst & Young Graduation for 4th Year BSCS Students

In our goal to produce industry-preferred graduates, the CIT University’s College of Computer Studies under the leadership of Dean Dr. Cherry Lyn Sta. Romana, in partnership with Ernst & Young GDS Consulting, conducted a graduation ceremony for the fourth year BSCS students who took up the Ernst&Young elective program. Recognition and awards were also given to the Teknoys who topped in this class. The formal graduation ceremony was held on December 2, 2022 in the Learning Resource and Activity Center.
